Apple has released the iPhone 3.0.1 update which fixes an SMS vulnerability discovered by Charlie Miller and Collin Mulliner
The flaw which according to Apple was in the CoreTelephony framework, made the iPhone vulnerable to being taken over remotely by malicious code which gained access through SMS .
The update is 280 MB in size , due to the fact that the entire OS has to be downloaded again. The update can be applied through iTunes. After connecting your iPhone to the PC , click on “Check for update” in iTunes.
