Cisco Systems Inc. will be laying off 600 - 700 employees from their Silicon Valley headquarters.
The Cisco Layoff is said to be part of a restructure plan. In February the company announced that they where planning to layoff around 2,000 employees worldwide.
Chief Executive John Chambers said:
“While there are no guarantees, we think the odds are reasonable that if we execute effectively as outlined in this call, that we may be able to avoid large downsizing events.”
