World’s Oldest Dog on Today Show - Meet the World’s oldest living dog, Chanel, who is currently 21 years old or in human years that would be 120 years old!
Chanel struggles to see, hear and even walk at times. Chanel wears “doggles” to protect her eyes since she has cataracts. According the the Guinness Book of World Records this dachshund mix is the oldest living dog and will soon be celebrating her 21 birthday.
Chanel lives with her owner in Long Island, Karl Shaughnessy who is 44 years old and a former New York City police officer. He says: “You treat her like you would treat your grandmother. You have to treat her that way. You keep her sweater on at nighttime.” The World’s Oldest Dog, Chanel, was featured on the Today Show.
