Man Dead in Shark Attack in San Diego
Dave Martin, 66, was attacked by what is believed to have been a white shark on the coast of San Diego Solana Beach.
“They saw him come up out of the water, scream ’shark,’ flail his arms and go back under,” Hill said. “The flesh was just hanging,” and Martin may have bled to death before he left the water, Hill said. - AP
Though shark attacks are extremely rare in the area, they say the shark may have confused Martin for a seal. The last shark attack around the area was back in 2004.
Unfortunately, Martin did not survive the attack, our condolences go out the his family.
