Gmail Custom Time! No wait, April Fools!

April Fools. For those of us who prank others it’s quite a fun day, but for the one’s being pranked… well you know.

Google has decided to prank all of us this year by launching Gmail Custom Time.

Ever wish you could go back in time and send that crucial email that could have changed everything — if only it hadn’t slipped your mind? Gmail can now help you with those missed deadlines, missed birthdays and missed opportunities.
Pre-date your messages
You tell us what time you would have wanted your email sent, and we’ll take care of the rest. Need an email to arrive 6 hours ago? No problem.

Mark as read or unread
Take sending emails to the past one step further. We let you make emails look like they’ve been read all along.

Make them count

Use your custom time stamped messages wisely — each Gmail user gets ten per year.

Worry less
Forget your finance reports. Forget your anniversary. We’ll make it look like you remembered.

With Gmail Custom Time you can send emails from the past or future! Never miss a deadline again!

But alas, it’s just April Fools! Damn you Google! What do you think about Google’s Gmail Custom Time?

Haha, I remember reading the gmail paper thing last year and slowly coming to realize it was an april fools joke.

This year I decided to read it just for the fun of it…”Gmail utilizes an e-flux capacitor to resolve issues of causality (see Grandfather Paradox).” sounded really funny, because we’re learning in physics about capacitors. (I always knew anything to do with electricity was actually black magic!)

NEVER introduce this Google! Please!! This is a horrible idea! More lies in this society? Deal with the consequences of being late! There will be no trust on gmail dates, and much could be manipulated. It would bring chaos by manipulating documents important in lawsuits.

I nearly freaked out when I saw this then figured it had to be a joke (I play World of Warcraft and they arleady did a spoof on their website so I was kind of prepared), but anyway the prank was effective even if most of the people getting pranked don’t think it’s funny lol

I wouldn’t worry about google actually ever doing this, everyone would just ignore google mail.
